5Solid, safe, and well-designed.
By Gary Brophy
This case is solidly built, and well-designed.

How it works:
1) Remove the front cover, and secure the box to a tree, post, or whatever. You can use the straps that came with your Bushnell camera, or bolt it to the surface. If you use the strap, the buckle will be secure, inside the box.

2) Activate the camera, and insert it onto the front of the box. There is support shelf on the bottom, and cut-out in the bottom of the box, and extensions for the frame of the camera fit into this cut-out area. The outer raised edge of the camera fits against the front edge of the box, leaving space behind the camera for cables, straps, whatever.

3)Front cover: The next step will take a minute, until you get used to it, so you may want to practice it without the camera. Insert the bottom tab of the front cover about a quarter-inch into the bottom front slot. Then align the two side tabs into their slots, and swing the top of the cover into place, pivoting on the the bottom tab.

4) Locking: Any common-size padlock can be used in the bottom tab, to prevent the tab being lifted high enough to open the cover. I have not investigated how much force it would take to force the cover upward enough to disengage the side locking tabs, and then forcibly yank open the front cover enough to get access to the camera. Instead . . .

5) Recommended python lock: I purchased a Python locking cable, which serves three purposes: a) it fits through the upper back section of the case, through holes in the front-cover side tabs, and holes in the case, guaranteeing no one can access the camera. b) If the tree is not too large a diameter, you can also loop it through the lower locking tab (giving a visible sign that the camera isn't even worth messing with) c) Of course, the cable can be secured tightly enough to be the main anchor to a tree or post. I purchased the lock from Amazon, but later saw I could have gotten it at a local hardware store, for a little less money.

4Nice custom fit
By D. Halper
Box fit camera perfectly. Definitely customized including openings for the camera straps to go through the back. Getting the cover of the box aligned with the locking hole was a little snug which is the only think keeping this from being a 5. I would recommend this box.

3Security box
By Al SIrois
Well, so far the box is still on the tree!
I used two 5/16" x 3 1/2" long stainless steel lag screws, with 1 1/2" dia fender washers, to secure the box to the tree.
The problem is the design of the front cover & camera design. The front cover has to be manipulated into place,(it's not hinged! WTF?) while the camera is active. So, you end up taking photos of your hands, the inside of the cover, etc. This wastes battery power, never mind giving you a bunch of useless photos to delete. But... the camera is secure, so far. I blame part on the camera Mfg., the ON button is located on the inside cover of the camera, with a short delay before camera is armed for motion.Gotta be quick.
